Fulfilling their promise today many prominent pahari movement activists joined hands with BJP alongwith Syed Mushtaq Bukhari at Jammu in presence of Sh. Ravinder Raina BJP UT president Jammu and Kashmir and General Secretary Sh. Ashok Koul. After passing of bill pertaining to ST status to Pahari Ethnic group in both the houses of parliament and presidents nod to the same pahari people from whole Peer Panjal region are joining BJP after one another.
Today Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, Ex. Minister and VC Pahari Advisory Board alongwith his supporters and prominent pahari movement activists joined BJP at BJP headquarter Jammu. It’s pertinent to mention here that these people were deprived of their rights for almost four decades and they had vowed that if BJP gives them ST status they would join BJP and support the same in upcoming elections, today as a sense of gratitude they joined BJP.
From Mendhar Advocate Mohammad Qayoom Khan (Rtd. Lecturer) was the prominent among other pahari activists who joined, from Surankote Shiraz Ahmed Malik ex. Provincial Vice President JKNC, Sarpanch Majeed Khan, Khawaja Ghulam Ahmed Rtd. DC, Shabir Hussain Shah Rtd. Tehsildar, Sarpanch Waheed Hussain Shah, Sarpanch Mashooq Ahmed, and many others also joined BJP. From Rajouri Gulzar Hussain Qureshi Retd. KAS and many others from different areas joined hand with BJP.
BJP leaders from peer panjal who were also present on this occasion are Iqbal Malik, Azhar Manhas, Er. Wajid Bashir khan Tickoo, Vibodh Gupta, Sohail Malik and Shahzad Khan etc.
