Surankote Police has solved a theft case registered at Police Station Surankote, arrested one thief and recovered 04 stolen bikes from his possession.
A case FIR No. 40/2024 U/S. 379 IPC was registered at PS Surankote in which some unknown person has stolen the motorcycle.
Acting over the FIR, Police Station Surankote started the investigation and work out the said theft case.
Under the Overall supervision of SSP Poonch Sh. Jugal Manhas, Addl SP Sh. Mushim Ahmed and under close supervision of DySP PC Surankote Sh. Hamid Ali Banday, a team led by SHO PS Surankote Inspr Mukhtiar Ali assisted by ASI Sajjad Shah with use of physical and technical surveillance arrested the accused Mohd Ashaq S/O. Mohd Aslam R/O. Kalaban, Tehsil- Mendhar, Distt. Poonch who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. Furthermore, upon his disclosure 04 bikes were recovered from his possession.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
