Budgam, Jul 29 : In contiuation of its steadfast efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Budgam police arrested 01 drug Peddler and recovered Contraband/Psychotropic substance from his Possession.
The police party of PP Soibugh were conducting a naka checking at Soibugh Chowki wherein they intercepted one vehicle (Piaggio Auto) bearing Registration No : JK01A-L4083.
During search of the said vehicle, Poppy Straw like substance weighing about 14 Kgs were recovered from the drivers’ possession. He disclosed his identity as Hilal Ahmad Dagga S/o Mohd Ramzan Dagga R/O Mahjoor Nagar Rose Line Colony Rambagh Sgr A/P Kenihama Nowgam Srinagar.
He was arrested on the spot and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No 309/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Budgam and further investigation has been taken up and further investigation has been taken up.
