- In a proactive move to enhance road safety awareness, the Poonch administration, through the office of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer Motor Vehicles Department recently conducted an informative session for driving license seekers and their companions at the Jhullas DL Trial Ground in Poonch.
ARTO MVD, Poonch, Taramani told the initiative aimed to equip the future drivers of Poonch with essential knowledge about responsible driving practices and the concept of the Good Samaritan, which encourages individuals to provide immediate assistance to victims of road accidents without fear of legal consequences.
The program covered various aspects of road safety, including traffic rules, defensive driving techniques, and the legal obligations of drivers in the event of an accident. Participants were also educated on the Good Samaritan guidelines, which encourage bystanders to provide first aid, call emergency services, and assist accident victims without hesitation.
