Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, and Other Officials participate in Moharram Procession in Poonch & Mandi
Poonch, July 14, 2024: The Poonch administration led by Deputy Commissioner Yasin.M.Choudhary (IAS) and Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas(JKPS) , along with other officials, visited the Imamyapark Mandi & Syed Takia Pehalwan Shah sab Poonch to participate in the Shia Muharram procession on the night of July 13th, 2024.
In Poonch, the procession started from Syed Takia Pehalwan Shah sab to the Imambargah Poonch, while the Mandi procession started from Imamyapark Mandi to the Imambargah Qdeem Mandi.
Langar-e-imam Hussain (a.s.) was organized by Anjuman-e-Jafaria Poonch at the District Hospital Poonch.
During the procession, Deputy Commissioner had the opportunity to meet with the management committee of the Imambargah and engage in discussions aimed at ensuring the smooth and peaceful observance of the Muharram rituals.
The presence of the officials at the Imambargah and their active involvement in the Muharram procession were widely appreciated by the Shia community, who expressed their gratitude for the administration’s show of solidarity and support.
