Under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Sh. Yougal Kumar Manhas JKPS, Poonch Police tightening its noose against bovine smugglers* a police team headed by IC PP Behramgala PSI Rahul Angral under close supervision of SHO Surankote Rajesh Kumar Thappa and Ad SP Sh. Mushim Ahmed during intervening night hrs * have foiled bovine smuggling bid in which 06 bovines were rescued, arrested the bovine smuggler and 01 vehicle seized, Tata mobile bearing registration number JK12A/6761 loaded with 06 bovines being driven by being driven by Shahid Ahmed S/o Shabir Ahmed R/o Trarawali Tehsil surankote distt. Poonch for routine checking which were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
In this regard FIR no. 174/2024 u/s 223 BNS has been registered in Police Station Surankote.Further investigation into the matter is underway.
General public have appreciated the regular strict actions of police against bovine smugglers.
